Who looks outside, dreams.
Who looks inside, awakens.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra means yogic sleep. The state is not truly sleep but a state in which you are awake and aware, able to access all layers of your being--physical, energetic, mental, intuitive and spiritual--and potentially create change and healing where healing is needed.
This is a nearly 45 minute long guided Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra means yogic sleep. The state is not truly sleep but a state in which you are awake and aware, able access all layers of your being--physical, energetic, mental, intuitive and spiritual--and potentially create change and healing where healing is needed.

This journey takes you into a forest on a cool crisp autumn day where you will be guided to experience the forest with all your senses. The forest will remind you of gratitude that perhaps you have forgotten and support you gently in experiencing the embodiment of love and a deep sense of gratitude.

The journey includes several stages, taking you through deep relaxation of the body, into the breath, energy, mind and sense perception allowing communication with your deepest and highest self. The journey reminds you on a cellular and subconscious level of your essential wholeness, the ultimate teaching of all the paths of Yoga.

It begins with a chant to invoke the awareness of this wholeness. The Purnamadah is the opening sloka (peace verse) from the Ishvara Upanishad, one of the holy Vedic texts, which translates to say, "This is whole, that is whole. When a portion of wholeness is removed, what remains is whole."

You'll move through stages of grounding and settling in, creating intention, followed by a full body scan to deeply relax the nervous system and then you'll experience sensations in the emotional and energy bodies as you move to a deeper level of awareness. These are followed by a guided journey into the bright and beautiful forest where you will encounter your own deep sense of gratitude. Then you'll be guided back to waking consciousness.

Stages 1-5 are influenced by yoga nidra scripts written by Jennifer Reis, taught in her Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra training.
The Journey into the Gratitude Forest is my original work.

I hope you enjoy this journey.
Peaceful travels.

Sending love,
Karla
