Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese healing technique used widely for stress reduction and relaxation as well as for energetic and spiritual healing. The Japanese word "rei" means Divine Power or Higher Wisdom and the word "ki" means life force energy. Ki is the same force as the yogic "prana" or Chinese "chi" or "Qi."

Reiki usually involves the laying on of hands and movement of the therapist's hands throughout the clients auric energy field. Reiki can also be done without touching at all. The reiki practitioner channels the spiritually guided life force energy to help balance and heal the client's energy field. This can also work distantly because the energy transcends time and space. 

​Our energetic field has direct impact and interaction with our physical and mental bodies. By helping to balance and heal any trauma in the energy field, we can directly affect the whole. 

In a distant reiki session, you have the option to be on or off camera and your session is tailored to your needs. I will send you an intake form and we can communicate ahead of time to answer any questions you have or address concerns. During the session, I will create sacred space and have a brief moment for you too do the same. I will invoke the reiki energy and send a "bubble" of energy to surround you. This is often an interactive process and I will likely guide you in visualizations and direction to engage in your own healing to support the work. Initially, I will check your chakras to see how they are currently functioning and then balance and clear any chakra spaces that are in need. Then I will send reiki to each area of the body, including your subtle bodies where the chakras live and your chi/ki/prana flows. This type of energy work impacts all the layers of your being. The main thing people tend to notice is a sense of deep relaxation during and after sessions, whether in person or via distance. You may feel movement of energy, or not, you may feel tingling, warmth or coolness in various parts of the body, or not. You may experience a variation of things like visualizations of your own, sensing or imagining color or scenes, or not. People have all kinds of experiences but primarily, one of deep relaxation and a calming of the nervous system. 

I also use stones and crystals during reiki sessions, either in person or via distance. The energy of the stones is also able to travel and I will send you a photo of the stones I used during your session and where they were energetically placed in your energy field. 

To prepare for your session--have a space where you won't be disturbed, set your phone to do not disturb or airplane mode. We will chat a bit before the session begins and the time set aside is an hour. You will be able to ask me any questions, or share any information you think I may need to know.  Feel free to do whatever you may want ahead of time to prepare--a bath or shower, meditation, having a candle or a calming ritual space prepared, etc. Wear clothing that is comfortable and not restrictive. 

Rates for Distance Reiki or In-Person Reiki:
$130 an hour.
