I don't give a lot of advice, but making a plan for holidays (and other hard days) was one of the best pieces of advice I ever received as a bereaved mom--from another bereaved mom. I share her advice with every person I know who is broken-hearted and grieving. Make a plan. You don't have to stick with the plan, but have one just the same.
